Understanding and Complying with HIPAA
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a far-reaching and rapidly-evolving law that is affecting how patient information is communicated and protected. And the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 added even more requirements. In this series, Dr. Alpesh Amin and his esteemed faculty teach physicians what they need to know to be HIPAA-compliant, while minimizing impact on patient care.

"Still have a difficult time with narcotics and tranqulizers some of the most prescribed meds not on the electronic prescribing. This seems ridiculous and arbitrary, and never get a good explanation why we cannot. It seems to me using electronic prescription is much more secure than printing it on green paper."
